THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW
We have
been watching in class this film and I'd like to know your opinion, so write an
entry on the blog telling me if you have / haven't liked this film and why.
PLOT
A paleoclimatologist, Professor Jack Hall, discovers that due to the global warming, the polar ice caps are melting, which is lowering ocean temperatures. This triggers a massive climate shift which causes many natural disasters and eventually a new ice age.Too late everyone realizes this, and as they try to evacuate to the warmer south, for half of the northern USA, and Canada, it's already too cold to go outside. Meanwhile, Jack's son,Sam, is in Manhatan on a trip with some friends.Jack heads north to try and rescue his son, but the cold is a powerful adversary.

ReplyDeleteThe Day After Tomorrow is an American climate science fiction disaster film. It was produced in 2004. I was impressed by the film, because we don’t know how people can live in those situations: ice towns, tornados and climatic disasters. It’s an interesting and exciting film.
First, the film is about the global warming. Could another ice age happen? I think it's unlikely, but scientists have found that, for a period of 20 years, the earth will cool instead of warm if global warming and a collapse of the AMOC (Atlantic meridional overturning circulation) occur simultaneously. So we have to take care of the planet.
And, second, I liked special effects in the movie, because they were realistic and credible.

ReplyDeleteI have liked "The Day After Tomorrow" because you can watch a lot of climate disasters that we can live. The special effects are so cool and so realistic. Also the plot of the film can be real some day, I said that because it isn't a paranormal film, like aliens or zoombies.

ReplyDeleteWell, I have like "The Day After Tomorrow" because there are a lot of incredible effects that show what can happen if we continue polluting as we do. In this film appears a lot of climate disasters as tornadoes, enormus waves or ice storms.They had to evacuate the north of USA and Canadá. The main characters of this film stay in a library while the other part of the people try to walk to scape the frost and survive. Finally, Jack, a paleoclimatologist professor rescue his son and his friends from the library, there where near a chimney powered by books and with no food.

The climate disasters are amazing and really scary,if this happend some day, I think that we won't survive.The special effects are very good. I think this could happend to us in some years.The history of the people of the film it's very interesting;the father of Sam it's very brave. I feel happy because they don't die. It's a good film.

ReplyDeleteI like " the day after tomorrow" because it has amazing effects. The movie shows us what can happen in the futuro and it makes us to think about the pollution of the world.
It's about a lot of climate disasters that happened in the north zone of the world. Jack want to save his son so he cross all the climate disasters to save him.

ReplyDeleteI like this film beacause is very interesting, it tells us what might happen in the future and warns us. It is also amazing the special effects.The show, which is colossal, begins in the first two minutes and maintained until the end. I thought I had seen everything. But no. ReplyDeleteI really like this film it was really interesting but sometimes sad. The day after tomorrow was recorded in 2004 in the USA and directed by Roland Emmerich. It has lots of climatice disasters and eventes like tornados or tsunamis. The special effects were also amazing. I´d like to see more movies like this one. I like so much they all stay alive and the humans survive.

ReplyDelete"The Day After Tomorrow" is an American film that it was perform for the fisrt time in 2004, the director is Roland Emmerich, and the main characters are
Jake Gyllenhaal, he is Jack Hall in the film, Dennis Quaid, he is Jack's father and Emmy Rossum, she is one of the Jack's friends. I like this film because it had an interesting part, another part was very sad, another was happy, the part of the end... It has lot of climates disaster, an incredibles special effects. It shows us how can be our world in the future, do you want an another ice age? Other thing was how can a father put his life at risk for his son. My favourite part of the film was when the boy, Jack, saves the girl's life. The end was so happy because all the people can save his life.
